Recent Books I've Read or Currently Reading
This is a short list of some of the more interesting books I've been reading in the past few weeks.
Do You Matter? How great design will make people love your company
Brunner and Emery showcase a lot of great examples of companies that embrace design, act like they embrace design, or flat-out don't care about design. Loved the comparisons of Apple and Dell.
Creating Breakthrough Products
Cagan and Vogel have packed a lot of take-a-ways and insight into this book, but I found their incredibly detailed accounts of actual product development processes fascinating. They feature Apple's iMac, the Black and Decker's SnakeLight and a few others.
Made To Stick
The Heath brothers give wonderful advice on how to make your ideas gain traction in your company or with the public. I'm going to take a lot of this advice and apply it to presentations of design comps and prototypes at Rackspace.
